Nanoleaf’s latest smart light, the Pegboard Desk Dock, has just gone live, offering a surprisingly practical way to declutter your space while adding some eye candy to your desk setup.

I actually saw a prototype of the Desk Dock back in January at CES 2025 alongside the existing wall-focused Blocks Light Pegboard, where it obviously takes its inspiration from.

The new Pegboard Desk Dock, available now for $59.99 / £59.99, pulls double duty as both a charging hub and a customizable lighting display.

One side of the device is a full-faced RGB light panel. Flip it over 180 degrees and you’ve got a pegboard with four movable hooks; designed for hanging your headphones, game controllers, or other desk gadgets you’d rather not just toss in a drawer.

On the smart light front it offers 64 RGB zones, 16 million colors, customizable lighting scenes, and dynamic effects that can sync with your music or mirror what’s on your screen in real time.

The base includes two USB-C ports, one USB-A, and a USB-C Power Delivery input, so you can charge up to 15W and hook up peripherals directly.

The whole thing connects via USB-C to your computer for instant pairing with Nanoleaf’s desktop app on Windows or Mac.

From there, you can fine-tune everything from brightness to scene selection. Or you just let it mirror your gameplay visuals or pulse to your playlist using the Nanoleaf Orchestrator.

There’s no Google Assistant or Alexa support though, it’s a Nanoleaf app exclusive.

It’s available direct from Nanoleaf now.
