The new Meross Smart Water Leak Sensor MS405 offers real-time alerts, wide compatibility, and a loud 100dB alarm that won’t let leaks go unnoticed.
The MS405 features dual probes for accurate leak detection – whether from above or below – and an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning it can handle wet environments without issue.
It connects via a hub that uses SubG 433 MHz wireless tech, delivering a 100m range for reliable coverage across the home that Meross tells us is more stable than Thread or Zigbee for the sorts of places you’ll be putting the MS405 – think cupboards under sinks, behind a bath panel or under a water tank.
If you’re tired of constantly swapping out batteries on your smart sensors then you’ll be glad to know it boasts a three-year battery life from a pair of AAAs.
There’s no Matter on board but the MS405 syncs with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings.
It keeps a two-year incident log, making it useful for insurance claims if a leak does happen.
